The Spirituality Team mission is to provide spiritual growth and minister to the grieving, promote healing, and encourage servanthood all in the name of Sharing God’s Grace.
Tape Ministry: Coordinate members of the congregation to provide our homebound members with a tape of the Sunday service. Homebound members receive the tapes weekly from different church members. Couriers typically deliver to one homebound member once a month.
Home Communion: Coordinate communion to be delivered once a month to our homebound members.
Homebound Gifts: Coordinate, compile, and deliver cards and gifts to our homebound members at Christmas and Easter.
Prayer Vigil: Coordinate and set up the Good Friday Lenten Prayer Vigil. An invitation to the congregation is posted to spend one half-hour to an hour of quiet time in the Church Parlor devoted to prayer and to pray over any requests received.
Friends in Prayer: Prayer requests are sent by email to team members and then praying begins. Prayer request forms are available on the church website or by calling the office.
“I pray that, according to the riches of His glory, He may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with power through His Spirit.” Ephesians 3:16
Grief Care and Support
Grace Cooks: Grace Members going through life-changing experience (birth of a child, undergone surgery) can make a meal request through the pastors for typically up to three meals. The Grace Cooks Coordinator is contacted and then arranges meals with the list of cooks to provide the desired meals. Cooks typically serve 3-4 times per year.
Grief Care: Cards are sent to grieving families at the time, and on the 6th month and 1 year anniversary of the passing.
Healing Services: Coordination of Grace Members to assist in providing anointing, laying on of hands, and a blessing for all those attending services that weekend. The healing services are scheduled two times per year.
Health Ministry: Grace Members are offered approximately once a month to have their blood pressure taken by a registered nurse.
