GRACE’S CHOIR SCHEDULE

Cherub Choir – ages 4 through 1st grade – rehearse Wednesdays, 5:15 – 5:30 pm in room 105. On service days there will be a “warm-up” session in the choir room (time to be announced by “take home” note). Thereafter, children sit with parents until the time to sing, usually just before the Children’s sermon. This choir will again join forces with those of the preschool for some services. Director: Tammy Baier.
Messengers – Grades 2 through 3 – rehearse Wednesdays, 5:30-6:00 pm in the choir room and usually at 8am for warm-up/review on Sunday mornings when the choir sings and again during the first 15 minutes if the 10:45 am service.. They are dismissed to their parents when the Children’s sermon occurs in the 10:45 service. Director Tammy Baier.
Joyful Sound – Grades 4 and 6 – rehearse Wednesdays, 6:15-7:00 pm in the choir room and usually at 8 am for warm-up/review on Sundays when the choir sings and then after Sunday School for the first 15 minutes of the 10:45 service. They are dismissed to their parents at the time of the Children’s sermon at the 10:45 service. Director Tammy Baier.
Grace Liturgical Dance: Younger children: Wednesdays 6:30-7:00; Older children 7:00-7:30. Times change in Advent & Lent. Dance coordinator, Kim McLauglin.
Children’s Hand-Chime Choir –Grades 2 through 4 – rehearse Wednesdays, 4:45-5:15 pm in room 102. Warm-ups are in the choir loft @ 7:30 am SHARP on Sundays the choir rings. Frequently Chime tables need to be removed from the loft after the 8:30 service. We ask the help of parents to get this accomplished quickly. Director Jan Burns

Youthful Spirit – Grades 7 & 8 – rehearse Sundays 5:15-6:15 pm in the choir room. Warm-up for services they sing @ 8:30 is at 7:45 am in the choir room. When they also sing at 10:45 am, they are dismissed when the Children’s sermon occurs. Director Carrie Filetti.
Laudate – Grades 9-12 – rehearse Sundays 6:30-7:30 pm in the choir room. Warm-up for services when the choir sings @ 8:30 is at 7:45 am in the choir room. When the choir also sings at 10:45 am, they are normally dismissed when the Children’s sermon occurs. Director Carrie Filetti. Services presently scheduled:
Revelation Ringers – Grade 9 thru adulthood – rehearse Wednesdays 6:00-6:45 pm in room 102. Rings in services approximately every 4-6 weeks @ 8:30. Warm-up for services @ 7:30 am. Director Terry Aavang
Chancel Choir – High School and above ages are eligible – rehearsals are normally Wednesdays 7 – 9 pm in the sanctuary or 7:30 – 9 following Advent and Lenten Wednesday services. The choir is present to lead congregational worship at most 8:30 am services however at least one Sunday per month the choir does not sing in order to give everyone some time to worship with family and friends who are not in choirs. Praise Team Singers – High School and adult ages are eligible. This ensemble generally sings the 1st Sunday of each month @ 10:45 (10 am summer) and rehearses once during each of the two weeks previous to that Sunday, normally Tuesday or Thursday. Director Ron Fredriksen
Praise Band or special instrumental ensembles – any person capable of learning the music so it is prepared in a timely manner is eligible. Praise Band rehearsals are Saturdays 9 – 10:30 am in the sanctuary. Rehearsals for other ensembles as services occur. Director Ron Fredriksen
GRACE DANCE MINISTRY– Let Us Praise His Name With Dance…Psalm 149:3
Grace Dance During Prime Time – Stretching and skill building for the purpose of learning a dance to present as worship during the Contemporary Service several times throughout the year. Time will be determined based on participants choir schedules the first Prime Time! Ms. Kim will be in the dining room for sign up!
Children’s Dance – Begins September 12 Classic ballet technique taught in a fun,creative, and contemporary atmosphere. Class members will participate in worship throughout year. Mondays 4 to 5 in the Narthex beginning September 12. Please come in comfy clothes the first class. If you have tights, leotard, and ballet shoes please wear them!
Teen and Adult Dance as Fitness – Begins September 8 For beginners and experienced dancers alike! Lots of stretching and simple barre work. We will even put movement together in a dance for fun! Come find the joy in dance fitness! Thursdays – 6:30 to 7:30 in the gym.
Festival Choirs/Children’s Christmas Program – Festival rehearsals are mostly Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. (some Thursdays) as scheduled in advance of Christmas, Transfiguration, Easter, and other festival weekends. Singers who are unable to commit to a regular choir but still wish to sing a few times a year will find our Festival Choirs a great option. Grace’s children present an annual Christmas Program in December. Rehearsals for drama and singing parts begin in November and are usually on Saturdays. All children who wish to participate are welcome—from
Instrumentalists – Instrumentalists of all kinds and abilities are welcome to share their gifts with the congregation in solo, ensemble and large group settings. Our 10:45 a.m. Sunday contemporary service band is a great place to join an ensemble in uplifting praise music. The ability to read music (chord symbols for guitar and bass) is necessary. Help will be provided for those who need assistance in preparing to join this group. Our 8:30 a.m. and festival worship services often involve small and large orchestral accompaniments. We are seeking players for new ensembles, especially brass. Small group and individual instrumentalists also enjoy playing at our relaxed 5:00 p.m. Saturday service. Sight and Sound Team – Singers or non-singers can help our music ministers by setting up and taking down equipment used for our presentations, including sound technicians. Teams would help with contemporary services and special services including cantatas and children’s presentations.
Special Music Offerings – Individuals, duets, small groups and other opportunities are always available for those who wish to share their gifts in worship! Piano accompanists are also needed for our children and youth choirs.
