Spirituality & Scripture

WORSHIP SERVICES AVAILABLE ONLINE

Spirituality Team

The Spirituality Team mission is to provide spiritual growth and minister to the grieving, promote healing, and encourage servanthood all in the name of Sharing God’s Grace.

Homebound Care

Home Communion:  Coordinate communion to be delivered once a month to our homebound members.

Homebound Gifts: Coordinate, compile, and deliver cards and gifts to our homebound members at Christmas and Easter.

Prayer Life

Prayer Vigil:  Coordinate and set up the Good Friday Lenten Prayer Vigil. An invitation to the congregation is posted to spend one half-hour to an hour of quiet time in the Church Parlor devoted to prayer and to pray over any requests received.

Friends in Prayer:  Prayer requests are sent by email to team members and then praying begins. Prayer request forms are available on the church website or by calling the office.

“I pray that, according to the riches of His glory, He may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with power through His Spirit.” Ephesians 3:16

Grief Care and Support

Grace Cooks:    Grace Members going through life-changing experience (birth of a child, undergone surgery) can make a meal request through the pastors for typically up to three meals.  The Grace Cooks Coordinator is contacted and then arranges meals with the list of cooks to provide the desired meals. Cooks typically serve 3-4 times per year.

Grief Care:  Cards are sent to grieving families at the time, and on the 6th month and 1 year anniversary of the passing.

Healing

Health Ministry:  Grace Members are offered approximately once a month to have their blood pressure taken by a registered nurse.

Ways to Participate on the Spirituality Committee
Where can I volunteer and how much time does it take to participate?

Do you have one day a month to help?
You can participate by delivering a tape to a homebound member or give communion to a homebound member.

Do you have two to three days a year and love to cook?
You can participate by cooking one meal for a family who is experiencing life changes. You may be asked to prepare a meal two or three times in one year.

Do you have one day here and there to help?
You can participate by assisting at healing services, organizing and assembling homebound gifts, participating in the Prayer Vigil.
